We are in the process of installing and configuring SharePoint 2016 on-premise farm. We are planning to configure User profile synchronisation. We are wondering about FIM SharePoint connector for user profile sync https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=41164 and the MIM. We are confused between these two. Can you please elaborate and give me the difference between these two products. We are assuming that we can sync the user profile using the FIM Sharepoint connector for user profiles , in that case we believe that we do not need MIM service setup. Please confirm and let me know if you have any questions.
