I've created a custom search scope for the person object. This search scope returns the DisplayName, FirstName, LastName, Company attributes. When I view the custom search scope I can change the sort order (ascending vs descending) of the DisplayName. However when I try to change the sort order of the other returned attributes I receive a search result of no items. Does anyone know if it’s possible to tweak the custom search scope to be able to sort by the other attributes?<o:p></o:p>

In testing I have found that I can sort all attributes of the search scope if I search for % first. Taking this a step further I've modified the NavBar URL to look like the following:<o:p></o:p>

    ~/IdentityManagement/aspx/common/GlobalSearchResult.aspx?searchtype=<search scope resourceID>&content=%<o:p></o:p>

Unfortunately this approach doesn’t seem to be reliable. Sometimes the sorting works after clicking the navbar link and sometimes it doesn’t.<o:p></o:p>

    Any thoughts?<o:p></o:p>

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Experts,

I am trying to push data into SQL table.

I created Outbound Synch rule, MPR, Set and Workflow. I can see ERE in user and record in CS of SQL MA.

However during export, zero export and no error.

Not able understand why exporting not going.

    Any suggestions please.

    Thanks,

    Experts,

I simply need to put data into an SQL table for temporary transformation. I don't want to use OSR(MPR, set...) since I don't want to apply any rule.

table is very simple:- employeeid(anchored), firstname and lastname.

I configured the MA. selected employeeid as anchor. Selected projection and join rules and also defined attribute flow in MA.

I ran discovery import also. I can import the data from table.

Now how do I get data from metaverse to connector space of SQL MA? I can not export data to table unless see them in CS of MA. Why metaverse objects are not going into CS of MA?

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,

    Mann

    Hey there,

i created a new fim 2010 r2 Installation with adma and fimma (quickstart)

So i get all My users to the Portal, now i tried to sync aditional attributes and there im failing...

i added them in adma as Attribute and flow rule Import, then to fimma, attributes, flow rule Import and Export, then added them to the sync rule in the Portal..

My modified atributes (middle Name, Manager) are visible in the metaverse, but not in the Portal (the fields are visible, but empty)

I wonder also, the sync rule is not showing up inthe expected rule list (dont know if it shoudl...)

Any hint will be helpfull, thank you!

    Experts,
I have created one custom variable employeestatus. Did the binding with 'user' object and also added in MPR 'Synchronization: Synchronization account controls users it synchronizes'..

However I am still not able to use the new attribute in Set definition.

    Error says access denied.

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,
    Mann

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,

I checked DataAccess service is running on both SCSM servers. Port 5724 is open on both SCSM servers single directionaly from FIM machine to SCSM servers. SCSM console of service manager connects correctly with SCSM with out error. While all servers are on same VLAN so there is no point of Firewall blocking and all servers are in same time zone. To add reporting in FIM Service , what more ports i need to open or port 5724 should be bidirectional ??.

    Hi,

I have deployed the FIM portal in a distributed architecture as shown below:

    Server-fimsync (sync service + DB)
    Server-simSql01 (fim service DB)
    Server-portal (fim service)

I now need to install the SSPR server. If I need to run a change mode install to associate the FIM SSPR app pool account with my FIM service server, can I just run a change mode install on server-fimportal? I have around 50 users actively using the FIM service and was just wondering the best way to deal with a change mode? Should I disable IIS and thus completely take the service offline whilst I do the change mode install?

As all of the servers are virtual machines, I'll be relying on snapshots so that I can revert all 3 machines at once if needed.

    Thanks

  • 04/21/14--10:36: SSPR on a server in the DMZ
  • I have FIM synchorization, FIM Portal, and FIM Service installed on an internal server.  SharePoint 2010 Foundation is installed on the same server.  I want to install a second server in the DMZ for the SSPR components as we have some external users who will need to register and reset their passwords from outside our domain, all users including the external users are set up within Active Directory.  Is it possible to have the second SSPR server in the DMZ?  If so how do I get it communicate with the internal server?

We are using ADFS is it possible to set up FIM 2010 R2 to sync with ADFS instead of AD DS?  So far everything I have seen online indicates I can only sync with ADFS if I am running FIM 2012.  Thanks.

FIM Team, I'm working with a customer attempting to automate the installation of the FIM Synchronization Service. We have the FIM 2010 R2 SP1 installation media and have created a Windows Installer Transform according tothis TechNet article. We'd like to deploy the Synchronization Service database on SQL Server 2012 Standard Edition SP1, but when we run the unattended installation using msiexec we get "Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service requires a running instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP1 or better." We can run through the installation manually without any issues.

    Cheers,

  • 04/21/14--16:13: Missed Service Failure
  • Dear All,

Last week, patches were applied to our DirSync server in production.  However, the service responsible for running the directory synchronization failed after patches were applied.

Please help me to investigate why this service failure did not generate an alert.  If we need to create anything new or modify rules in place

  • 04/21/14--17:43: Slow Oracle MA workaround?
  • Hi,

Like many previous findings online, our Oracle MA is taking a stupendous amount of time to process a few records.

A work around by a few people here, including Adreas Kjellman is to:

Create a table called All_Objects. Create this table with the same column names and types as the actual DB you care about but there shouldn't be any actual data(rows) in it. Verify that the account used by the Oracle MA has access to this table.

Once this table is created, does the Oracle MA need to be reconfigured to point to it - is that the Table/View MA setting on the MA? If yes, then where do we stipulate the original data Table - in the Delta View? Multi table View?

Or do we simply leave the Oracle MA as is, and somehow (magically) the Oracle MA reads the empty "All_Objects" table?

    Thanks,

    SK

    hi,

We are using declarative provisioning to provision data to various target systems. Data is imported from the HR source database. However, on the HR MA, we don't have any Join or Projection Rules. If we are using declarative provisioning, do we still need Join and Projection Rules on the MA itself?

The reason I ask is that we are getting the following errors on a Full Sync of the HR MA...and I wonder if this error would disappear if we had a Join rule in the MA:

    sync-rule-flow-provisioning-failed

Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.ProvisioningBySyncRuleException: An object with DN "kbob001" already exists in management agent "XYZ MA".

    thank,

    sk

    Hi

Wondering if someone can help me get the expression correct. I need to achieve the following in a Custom expression. Ive described what should happen below...

    IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"Disabled")   FLOW "514"
    IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryB")   FLOW  "512"
    IFF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryC")   FLOW "512"
    IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryA")   AND   IIF(Eq(employeeStatus,"Disabled")   FLOW= "512"

This is what ive come up with:

    IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryA"),IIF(Eq(employeeStatus,"Disabled"),"512",IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"Disabled"),"514",IIF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryB"),"512",IFF(Eq(employeeCategory,"CategoryC"),"512",+userAccountControl+))))

Just getting "the function IIF is not correctly formatted".

    Appreciate the assistance
