All,

We are making progress very slowly using the PeopleSoft template for the Web Service Connector MA.  Has anyone had any luck pulling records from PeopleSoft into the C?  We used the out the box variable in the PS Web Configuration tool and and value but we are not getting anything back.  We have been through a number of iterations but no luck.  The original value is:

Attr: personIDSearchPattern

value: "include [A-Z0-9 !@#$%^&*()-_+={}[]:;""'<>,.?/\|~`]"

If anyone has gotten this to work I would appreciate some insight since the documentation is somewhat thin.

Greetings,

Using FIM 2010 R2 in a dev situation. I created an Inbound Sync Rule with just a few attributes on the Inbound Attribute Flow tab. Now I want to add additional ones. So I open up the details of the rule. Click on the Inbound Attribute Flow tab. Click on New Attribute Flow. Pops open a new window.. Fill in source and destination. Click OK to close the new attribute window. It shows up in the Inbound Attribute Flow tab. The only buttons I have are Advanced View and Close, so I click Close... (no submit window). When I open the details again, the new attribute is not there.

What am I missing?

Hi,

 I'm looking at doing a FIM deployment for around 10,000 users and so far have the following servers configured:

FimPortal - holds fim service and portal
FimSQL - holds fim service DB and SharePoint DB
FimSync - holds fim sync service and sync DB

I was going to install the password reset portal on server "FimPortal" (using a different IIS and SharePoint site on a 2nd IP) and simply using a new SQL instance on FIMSQL.

I'd like to get some advice on whether this is OK? Or whether I'd definitely need a separate SQL and IIS/FIM Server for the password reset portal?

Hello Expert,

1 metaverse entry connected to two entries in connector space. Becoz of business reason we have mapped the metaverse entry to the old one in the connectors space. The error is showing on the wrong entry in the connector space and we did not want that entry at all.

What will be the scenario If any update come for the user,do it will always update the correct entry in the connector space in future.

Right now the metaverse entry is connected to correct entry in the connector’s space.

Hi,

I am currently working in a FIM Project in which i need to install two FIM service and Portal Servers in single Domain.

Customer wants to open the FIM Portal with common URL of both the Servers.

I have only knowledge that we need to do NLB between IIS of both the servers. anyone can provide help that how can we achieve this.

Hi Team,

I Want to create a set with filter criteria something like :

All Users with :

EmailDisable > ESepDate

Both of the above attributes are of type dateTime & belongs to user type on FIM portal.

I have recently re-created the User Profile Service application on a SharePoint 2010 farm to resolve issues with profile synchronization that occurred.  In the process the existing ProfileDB and SocialDB were retained and FIM's SyncDB dropped to be created a fresh.

Original problems with profile sync are resolved but now see in Synchronization Service Manager the Management Agent of type "Extensible Connectivity" reports many discovery errors "need-full-object" for users.

The only event in Windows Event Log for FIMSynchronizationService is a warning

"...The rules configuration has changed since the last full import or full synchronization.
User Action
To ensure the updated rules are applied to all objects, a run with step type of full import and full synchronization should be completed."

A full synchronization is being run.

The synchronization runs for 12 hours+ before being shutdown by the farm backup process.  There are around 5000 users in Active Directory and a full sync used to take 5-6 hours.

What is the best way to resolve this?

There are many forums suggesting to set the installation account (administrator account) as a filtered disconnector. The following is one of them.

In my environment, the installation account will be set as filtered connector. i.e. the account is linked to AD. A fimma FS would delete the MV. How can I still preserve this account?

Hello everyone:

I am currently working with the connector of SAP ECC 6.0, my client and performed satisfactorily procedure to expose BAPI's and I have a user with the necessary permissions to consume the web service from the service tool configuration web console, but when make the discovery endpoint does not bring me any BAPI.

I am working with the version of FIM 2010 R2 Service Pack 1

Anyone have any work around for this problem?

I plan to use two servers for FIM r2 SSPR. The database server will be hosted in a third server.
How should I design these two server with respect to what services gets installed? Since this is to be used for only SSPR, are there services that don't need to be installed? I plan to use sharepoint foundation. The test lab site and other technet articles weren't much of help as to what specific services need to be installed.

Does SSPR need PCNS?

We are planning to deploy SSPR; to reset Active Directory accounts - there is no other system that requires a password sync.

Do we still need to deploy PCNS then?

I'm moving schema/policy from LAB to PROD FIM environment (using PowerShell scripts as described on technet).

It is however not moving localized resource names. Anyone knows how to include localized DisplayNames in schema/policy exports?

Trying to install the above connector on an existing FIM solution at a client. However the instructions on how to configure the AAD Connector literally stops after the installation and Configure Attribute Flow. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn511001%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

Has anyone got further/complete information on how to configure the AAD FIM connector so that we can Dirsync the AD accounts to Office 365? Using the Office 365 DirSync tool is not considered an option since FIM is been heavily vested into production and the powers to be want this solution.

Using the Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager, is it possible to access multiple mailboxes (mailboxes of different users) using a single user's credentials? Specifically, can such access rights be provided using Microsoft FIM?

Hi,

I moved FIM Portal configuration from TEST server to PROD.

I have 2 workflows definitions which have been moved as well. Workflows are working as expected however I can't edit them in GUI (of course I can upload it XOML attribute).

What should I add to be able to edit them in GUI?

I've created an outbound filter-based rule in FIM 2010 R2 SP1 that doesn't seem to want to apply.  I set the outbound scoping filter to match on a single username (and will adjust it to match a broader set if I can get this to work).  If I preview a full sync on the FIM user object in the Sync Manager, the rule shows up as "Not Applied" under a provisioning summary (and correctly doesn't show up at all for other users).  I don't have any objects in the target MA (it's an empty SQL table). I've got sync rule provisioning enabled and other rules that i have implemented with MPRs and workflows work fine, but I wanted to try a filter-based rule for simplicity in this situation.  It's currently set up to flow two simple string attributes. Can anybody provide pointers as to how to troubleshoot why it's not applying?
